Hello,
I’m planning my first cycle. I’ve watched some videos and done some reading.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
- 2x 125 mg Test E per week

About me:
- 19 years old
- 173 cm
- 58 kg
- ~7% body fat

Supplements:
Creatine, Ashwagandha, Magnesium Citrate, Omega-3, Vitamin D3 + K2, Zinc

I train with progressive overload.

I’d also like to know:
- How long a typical cycle should last
- How long to wait before starting another one
- Should I really add another compound after my first cycle?
- Is there something like a home kit with an app for the bloodwork?



I’d appreciate any advice or criticism.

You’re definitely doing the right thing by asking questions before jumping into it. At 19, though, the best advice anyone here can give you is to wait. You’re still naturally producing huge amounts of testosterone, and shutting that down now can cause long-term issues that will follow you for years. No cycle is worth that tradeoff.

Right now, you’re 58 kg at 173 cm and already very lean. That tells me the focus should be on eating and training, not on PEDs. You’ve got a great foundation to build naturally. Push your calories hard, track your macros, and aim to gain 6–8 kg over the next year with food, consistency, and proper recovery. You’d be surprised how far that alone will take you at your age.

To answer your questions: a typical beginner cycle lasts about 10 to 12 weeks, followed by an equal or longer period off before considering another. But again, you shouldn’t be thinking about that yet. Give yourself time to grow naturally. When the time comes, a first cycle should always be just testosterone, nothing else. Adding compounds early only increases risks without improving results.

As for bloodwork, there isn’t a reliable “home kit” with an app that can replace proper lab testing. You need real labs, ideally ordered through a doctor or a certified online service, to track your testosterone, estradiol, lipids, and other markers.

You’re clearly disciplined and already thinking ahead, which is great. Just stay focused on building strength, muscle, and habits now. Those things will make any future cycle infinitely more productive and far safer.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a detailed answer. I really appreciate your advice and honesty. You’re right, I’ll focus on eating more and training consistently for now.

Just out of curiosity, at what point or age would it actually make sense to start considering something like a cycle?

If I get a blood test done and it shows that my testosterone levels are actually low, would that be a good enough reason to start thinking about it?
