Hello ! I'm 38 years old from France and I will share with you my experience on my first TRT+ cycle

August 6th : I decided to start a TRT cycle on my own, because here where I live it's complicated to get it prescribed.

My first blood test results before TRT showed :
4.75ng/ml (16.48nmol/L) total test
36.5 pmol/l (10.5 pg/ml) free test
30 pg/ml for estrogen

My diet is very good (except some weekend days) and I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and lift heavy weights.
Despite my numbers not being under the low limit, they are still low for my age and my lifestyle, I had all symptoms of someone with very low T.

I started to take 200mg of Cypionate divided in 2 injections IM per week : 100mg wednesday evening and 100mg sunday morning.

My libido that I thought was dead is now amazing, chasing wife around the house every day... a game changer ^_^
When I enter to the gym I am like a spartan wearing a cape, I have crazy results and went from 91kg to 97.5kg. Really crazy.
No more mood swings, I enjoy every moments.

Few days before my second blood test, I started to feel bad sometimes and took my blood pressure, it was WAY too high ! (18/12 after sex - 16/10 at rest)
I also started to have nipple sensitivity, for me it was a sign that my estrogen might be too high.

The result of the blood test confirmed it :
October 4th : 120 pg/ml for estrogen
Total test is showed as >15 ng/ml (>52 nmol/l) , my lab couldn't calculate more than that. It might be just over that number or the triple of it. I don't know.
I am still waiting the Free test number, the lab is taking some more time to give me that result.
(All other blood results were in range - Prolactin 320 mUI/L at the high limit (322 is max) - Hematocrit 51.5%)

When I ordered my test I also ordered Aromalyn 25 mg (Exemestane) but didn't take it until first blood test on TRT.
Immediately after I saw my huge 120 estogen number, I took half a pill (12.5mg), and will take half a pill the day after injection for the 2 next weeks.
I will also lower my test dose to 125mg per week and see in like 2 month where I'm sitting on another blood test.

I've read alot concerning estrogen levels and I know that 120 estrogen with like 2500+ test is not quite bad but my BP cannot handle that much estrogen.

I've ordered Anavar also, waiting for delivery. I intended to start it once I get it but I guess I'll first see if my BP goes back in range before I start it.

What do you guys think about lowering my Cypionate dose to 125mg per week ?

(I plan to add Anavar - 10mg in the morning 1h before workout and 10mg in the afternoon)

Thanks for reading !

Solid write-up, man. You did the right thing by checking your bloods early!

120 pg/ml E2 with BP that high is definitely too much for comfort. Lowering your Test C dose to 125 mg/week and adding 12.5 mg Exemestane twice weekly is a smart, conservative move.

That’ll likely bring both your estrogen and blood pressure back in range within a few weeks.

I would say Holding off on the Anavar until things stabilize… I understand there’s no rush, and adding orals while BP is high is asking for trouble. Keep hydration high, reduce sodium a bit, and maybe add some citrus bergamot or telmisartan if your BP stays elevated.

You’re reacting fast, tracking your numbers, and thinking long-term… exactly how TRT+ should be done!!!

I suggest rechecking bloods after 4–6 weeks and adjust from there. You’re on the right path.
