Bruising is generally not caused by the oil itself. A bruise occurs when a small blood vessel is mechanically damaged by the needle during the injection, regardless of the batch or even the specific product being used.

This may also explain why you are experiencing more discomfort after the injection. You could try rotating injection sites and, if appropriate, using a different needle size or length to see whether that improves the situation.
