I started Retatrutide a week ago at a starting dose of 0.5 mg. Because I felt no effect after two days, I administered an additional 0.5 mg injection. Since then, I have experienced significantly delayed gastric emptying and a drop in physical hunger, though my cognitive appetite remains present. Additionally, I am experiencing severe constipation with a persistent urge to pass stool without being able to do so. Is this discrepancy between delayed digestion, reduced physical hunger, and lingering appetite typical for Retatrutide?

Hi.

Everything you describe is a common reaction with Glp1. Gastric disorders are common and can change between individuals and also the dose.

In my case retatrutide gives me severe uncontrollable diarrhea at 3mg. But no effect on physical appetite.

Cognitive appetite remains present for many as well. Tirzepatide seems to be more effective for this.
But it's a personal reaction. You have to try and experiment to find what suits you best.

And sometimes the sides disappear after a few weeks as long as the dose is not changed. So give yourself a little more time even if it's unpleasant (no Glp1 is comfortable when you start or increase the dose unfortunately)

Don't forget to dring maybe more. Constipation sometimes happens due to lack...

Don't forget to dring maybe more. Constipation sometimes happens due to lack of hydration (and it's easy to forget to drink more with the Glp1)
