Hi everyone,

I would like to know whether HCG is necessary during every anabolic steroid cycle.

For example, if someone runs an Oxandrolone (Anavar) cycle, is HCG still necessary to maintain testicular function and prevent testicular atrophy?

Is HCG essential during a cycle, or can someone use certain anabolic steroids without needing it?

Does the need for HCG depend on the compounds used, cycle duration, dosage, or individual hormone levels?

What are the potential risks of not using HCG, particularly regarding natural testosterone production, testicular function and fertility?

I'd appreciate scientific information and personal experiences.

Thanks!

Breezh, the need for hCG depends more on hormonal suppression and your fertility goals than on the specific steroid alone. anavar can suppress LH, FSH, and endogenous testosterone production, even without injectable testosterone. hCG acts as an LH analogue, stimulating leydig cells and helping maintain intratesticular testosterone, which is important for testicular function and spermatogenesis. its main benefits are supporting testicular activity and limiting atrophy. hormonal and sperm production recovery can occur after discontinuation, although the timeframe varies widely, but it's a very uncommon issue. is maintaining fertility your main concern, or are you primarily interested in preventing testicular shrinkage?

Hi mate

To help you better understand the answer to this question, I'll give you an example.

You buy a car and you know that some parts are faulty. You can still drive it, but the wear and tear will be greater. You can take it to a repair shop, pay to fix everything, and save yourself from potential problems in the future (like getting stranded somewhere outside the city and then spending a fortune on a tow truck). Plus, you'll extend the car's lifespan.

But if you're renting a car for just one month, you don't necessarily need to spend your own money fixing it, especially since it's not even yours. Makes sense?

Now ask yourself — how long do you want to keep driving this "car"? That's the real question when deciding whether you need to fix it or not.

In short, HCG helps reduce the risk of infertility. It doesn't eliminate the risk completely, but it reduces it. How effective is it, and at what dosages can you safely skip it? We don't have scientific data that answers these questions. But the general assumption is that it's better to use it. I didn't come up with this idea — it's based on the practical experience of thousands of people.

As for running an oxandrolone-only cycle without testosterone — to be honest, that's about as bad as it gets.

I see you've created another thread. I'd recommend simply explaining what you want to achieve there, and we can help you figure out a suitable cycle and explain everything step by step, including each compound and HCG. Right now, it feels like you're trying to put together the whole picture from scattered puzzle pieces.
