Basically I'd like experiences regarding these two substances for both sexes, I'd like to add one of both to my next order.

We've been using topical minoxidil for my boyfriend, and based on what I read, oral could be somewhat more effective. But people usually say that finasteride is more effective, and it's usually only contraindicated for women... I'm still concerned about the hormonal effects it has on men, and don't want any for him.

What's your experience, is oral minoxidil as effective as finasteride for men? And are they really better than the topical solution?
I've been also eyeing RU55481, but that also seems to have more side effects than minoxidil.
What about women? I think finasteride should only be a problem for pregnant women. (I don't have a hair problem, but I'm concerned that a longer cycle would make me leave more hair in my brush.)
If anyone has used these, experiences are welcome.

I run 600mg test and 100mg tren a week and use finasteride 1mg oral with minoxidil. At first I used only minoxidil because it doesn’t crush DHT but that‘s exactly the problem. If you run a decent dose of test, finasteride will be way more effective because it removes the cause of hair loss (DHT), minoxidil only makes it grow faster but you‘ll probably still loose hair over time. But some people are just fine just using minoxidil, that depends on how prone to hair loss one is. My hair line got decimated for the time I didn’t use finasteride. To adress your hormonal concerns for using finasteride: For men it can be problematic because DHT is responsible for all the mental effects of testosterone (maintaining erections, motivation/drive and obviously libido) but if you run high enough test it will be powerful enough to replace DHT. Especially if you run powerful PEDs like Tren he should be fine. For more indepth infos I would suggest you search up MPMDs video on Finasteride on YT. Hope I could help :)

Thank you! For starters, I ordered minoxidil because I don't want any hormonal (or other health) problems for him, and he's not using any PEDs, it's just me who's using mild ones, I doubt we would ever take it so far to use Tren.
So we can soon compare topical vs oral minoxidil. Then if that fails and he wants or needs it, hair transplant is still an option. :)

Yeah if he doesn’t use PEDs minoxidil should be more than enough. Finasteride will almost definitely mess his hormones and well being up without PEDs. But make sure to do microneedling if he uses topical minoxidil, I‘ve had great success with that for the time I didn’t use PEDs.
Good luck👍🏼
