Hey everyone 😎,
Recently came across an interesting compound — Bimagrumab (BYM338).

From what I understand, it’s not a peptide but a monoclonal antibody that blocks ActRII receptors (basically works through inhibiting the myostatin/activin pathway). So instead of stimulating growth like GH or peptides, it removes the “brake” on muscle growth.

According to studies:
  • increases lean muscle mass
  • reduces fat mass
  • mechanism is completely different from AAS or GH
It was being developed by Novartis but never really made it to the market in a big way.

Curious if anyone here has looked deeper into it or even tried anything similar?

And a question for the shop reps:
👉 are there any plans to offer Bimagrumab or similar ActRII inhibitors in the future?

I understand this is way beyond typical peptides, but maybe something is moving in that direction.

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.🙂

Hey mate 🙂,

Yeah, Bimagrumab is definitely one of those compounds that has started getting more attention lately. Same with Trevogrumab and a few other myostatin/activin pathway related products.

To be honest, when we start seeing more people asking about a compound, it usually means the market is slowly moving in that direction. That does not mean it will appear tomorrow, of course, but it is normally how these things begin.

From our side, we usually do not try to be the very first to produce something completely unknown, because demand can be extremely small at the beginning and the practical use is still unclear for most users. What we normally do is watch the market closely, see what people are talking about, see what other suppliers start offering, and pay attention to what customers ask us through support and here on the forum.

That is basically how it happened with GLP-1 products, L-carnitine, and several peptides that are now part of our catalogue.

So I would say yes, compounds like Bimagrumab are definitely on the radar. If interest keeps growing and we see real demand, it would make sense to evaluate them seriously for the future.

Very interesting direction, honestly. Completely different from AAS, GH or classic peptides, and probably one of the areas we will hear much more about in the coming years.

Hope it clarifies!
