Thread: 1 Year Progress Update: Newbie, Test Only (+ Anadrol at the end)
Hey everyone, long-time lurker, first real progress post. I'm a year in and honestly buzzing, so bear with me.
Stats:
Test only (cypionate), 250mg/week when on
Last 28 days: added Anadrol 50mg per day
Up exactly 10kg from where I started
Body fat slightly lower than day one can't say for sure as I had different methods of testing in the gyms I was in
The honest bit: My son was born and everything stopped. I came off the test completely and didn't train for six months. Sleepless nights, nappies, zero energy for anything else. I wasnt worried I'd lose everything as I had only just started and was still progressing fast as a newb and genuinely excited about all the new movements was still pretty fresh , but I kept more than I expected.
Getting back into the gym was harder than I thought. The first few weeks were humbling: lighter weights, no stamina, and I felt out of place in a new gym with slightly different machines and weights felt different had to find a lot of adaptations and get comfy.

But I kept turning up, the best workouts were always when I had to drag myself there and arguing with myself beforehand about writing the day off
But got back on the test, and strength started coming back faster than I expected. Muscle memory is real.
That 10kg isn't a bulk I chased. It's what stuck through a pretty chaotic year, and now I get to build on it.
The Anadrol month has been a ride. Strength jumped every session, the pumps were stupid, and I felt like a tank. I'll be honest, I held some water, and felt tired some afternoons, so I kept a close eye on how I felt. And I think 28 days for me with a new and powerful not to mention liver toxic compound was the perfect amount of time as I had some strange nights in the last days where I was waking up terrified so I'm thinking it was a big shift in my blood pressure or something so glad I got the results I wanted and I'm not rushing into anything else for a while Bloods and check-ups are on my list, because I'd rather be smart than lucky.
Biggest lessons from year one:
Life comes first. These things in life are a big commitment so sometimes you have to wait before you go hard again
Consistency beats intensity, even when "consistency" means showing up half-asleep
This community has been great for a newbie who asks a hundred dumb questions
Photos below(both post pump in order on way home from gym and I was actually proud of the first one at the time 😅): day one on the left, this weeks on the right. I'm not where I want to be, but Its a step in the right direction but happier as those six months took alot of bouncing back, and. Dad life, a year of growth, and I'm only just getting started. Yehaa
Thanks for all the help, Excited for year two. 💪

I've also struggled with chest development as I broke my wrist a couple years ago and never got it fixed so looking for advice what I can do more confortably weighted dips I'm fine with just need to include them in my next plan

Nice progress man especially with everything you've had going on this year!
One thing to remember with Anadrol is that the rapid strength and weight gains aren't necessarily all new muscle. Glycogen and fluid retention contribute quite a bit, so don't be surprised if some fullness drops off after the cycle.
The fatigue and frightening awakenings caught my attention more than anything else. Elevated blood pressure is one possibility, but you can't really tell without measuring it. I'd get that checked rather than assuming it was just the Anadrol.
Good work getting back into training and staying consistent. 💪
