I was asked about the PIP management of Test Propionate today… kinda recurrent but very interesting topic to talk about… so lets go for it!!

PIP (Post Injection Pain): What It Is, Why It Sucks, and How to Handle It Like a Champ!!!
If you’ve ever jabbed your glutes or delts and felt like you got hit by a truck the next day, congrats!!! you just met THE PIP.

That’s Post Injection Pain for the uninitiated, and yeah, it sucks. But before you start thinking about your gear’s bunk or your body’s rejecting the juice, let’s break down what’s really going on!!

PIP is that annoying, sometimes BRUTAL pain that hits the muscle where you injected, usually 12 to 24 hours later. It can feel sore, inflamed, tight, even bruised. Some guys limp, others can’t lift their arm. Either way, it feels like @BellaMasculine slapping you for trying to get jacked. HAHAHHA 🤣🤣🤣

Thing is, PIP doesn’t mean infection or abscess or anything catastrophic most of the time. It’s just your muscle throwing a signal because something irritated it.

Why It Hits Harder With Short Esters and Heavy Compounds

Short esters like Test Prop, Tren Ace or Mast Prop are famous for causing PIP.

Why? TIPICALLY Because they’re usually packed with more solvent like benzyl alcohol or benzyl benzoate to keep the stuff stable. More solvent means more irritation.

High milligram per milliliter gear can also be thick as syrup. Injecting that into your muscle is like forcing peanut butter through a straw. Your muscle won’t be happy!!

Compounds like Tren, Superdrol injectable and MENT are just mean by nature. Even if you pin them like a pro, they can FIRE you up!!!

This is exactly WHY Driada stands out. We use top-tier carrier oils and ZERO heavy solvents, which means smoother injections, less inflammation and way less risk of PIP.

You feel the gear doing what it’s supposed to DO no drama, just results!!
Common Causes of PIP
Let’s be honest, most PIP happens because of mistakes. Here are the top reasons
  1. Bad injection technique. Going in too fast or at the wrong angle messes things up
  2. Not rotating sites. Pin the same glute every week and it’ll make you pay
  3. Low quality gear. If the oil looks dirty or smells weird, toss it
  4. Injecting too much in one spot. Trying to jam 3 cc of thick test into a delt? Don’t
  5. Cold oil. Warm it up first. Cold oil stays thick and the muscle fights back

How to Manage PIP Like a Champ
  • Massage the area after you inject, DONT GO CRAZY!!!, just enough to help it spread
  • Apply heat with a hot shower or heating pad, or simply heat the syringe in your hot tap water before application.
  • Move the muscle. Walk it off, stretch, or train around it
  • Use over the counter stuff like ibuprofen if needed
  • Switch injection sites. Use delts, glutes, ventro glutes, quads. Rotate like a grown up ADULT FOR CHRIST SAKE!! HAHAHAH

Pro Tips From The Tren Trenches
  • Draw your gear with a thick needle and inject with a thinner one. Like 20g to draw and 25g to pin
  • Warm up the loaded syringe under hot water
  • Split big doses into two injection sites
  • Stick with labs you trust. Your body knows the difference
  • And if you want to avoid PIP in the first place, stick with labs that know what they’re doing.

Again, Driada is a prime example. Our formulations are smooth, properly filtered and dosed with precision. You inject it, your body absorbs it, and the pain stays out of the picture.

When to Worry
  • If it’s hot, red, swollen and you feel like you’ve got the flu, that’s not normal. Could be an infection or abscess. Get checked
  • If it gets worse every day instead of better, don’t wait. Deal with it before it deals with you

Final Word from Shark!

PIP is like that annoying gym bro who screams during every set. It’s a pain, but you get used to it. Don’t panic, don’t quit your cycle and don’t blame the gear right away

Pin clean, Rotate often, Warm the oil and Respect the process!!

You’re injecting oil into your body. Some soreness is part of the grind. Handle it like a champ and keep growing!!!

And if you want to skip the guessing game and just pin clean gear that hits smooth and hard, Driada has your back!!!

Finally, in case of any doubt… CRISTAL CLEAR INFO!!!

NOW…

QUIT WHINING AND LETS GROW!!!

I usually rotate site of injection every week, like one week I do left glute the other right glute, the next one shoulders and so on...
I also found that 25G needles are the best for me since I don't have a lot of BF and I don't feel any pain injecting
A nice advice I can give is to know what your BF is (approximately) and then choose the needle that you need in order to barely reach the muscle fibers

When I was 26, I could take a 9-10 ml injection without much trouble the next day. But as I've gotten older, my body has started to handle injections worse. A lot depends on where the injection is made. For example, I have a hard time with injections in the deltoid muscles, even if it’s just 0.5 ml, despite having fairly large delts. I also don’t tolerate subcutaneous injections very well, even if it’s just 0.3 ml. After subcutaneous administration, I always get a lump that disappears after 3-4 days.

What I want to say by this is that everyone has a very individual reaction to oil-based anabolic steroid injections, and the volume of the injections depends on many factors.

Definitely is not a 1+1=2, but a multi factorial element.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It helps us all getting better in our sport!!

I'm currently rotating chest, delts and ventro glutes, while pinning 0.65cc daily with a 30G insulin pin. I feel my muscles just recover on a six day frequency, altough it seems pecs get PIP much more often than the other two muscle groups I'm pinning

Great info to know, do you by any chance also have the concentrations of benzyl benzoate and benzyl alcohol in Driada products?

I have injected oil into the deltas using both the G30 and larger needles, but I have noticed that in my case the problem is in the volume of oil.

That definitively contributes too, I observed that my muscles got "recovered" faster when using 0.1cc than when using 0.65cc (which is the highest injectin volume of oil I've done to this point). Also worth noting is, that I think when injectin water based stuff (peptides, inj. L-carnitine - I don't have experience with injectable winstrol so no clue how fast muscles recover in that case), the muscles recover in less than a day.

I have been injecting Driada Medical L-Carnitine 1ml with a G30 into my buttock and have had no PIP whatsoever. This surprised me because most people on reddit complain that L-Carnitine is a drug that causes pain.

L-carnitine is very personal. It varies from person to person.

For me, my muscle swelled as if I had injected Synthol 😅. It was painful after 24 hours with a loss of range of motion.

Is it possible you just hit a weird spot? I once hit the spot between the heads of my delt and I couldn't raise my arm for 3 days

I tried every possible place. Triceps / shoulders / ventroglute / quads .... Always the same reaction 👌

This is unexpected for me. I even made subcutaneous injections and got only a slight swelling the next day

Yesterday I did an injection of BPC-157, and today I had to take ibuprofen because a lump and redness formed on my leg. It’s just BPC-157, which has never caused me any issues before. But I realized that the injection site is really important. I tolerate subQ injections in my stomach well, but yesterday I did the injection in my quadriceps (subcutaneous), and not all areas of my quads tolerate these injections well.

It's also true that the site is important. I have trouble with subQs with fatty areas (belly for example).

I have to use areas without fat (upper thigh in the fold with the hip is perfect)
