i've been noticing something different when pulling my primo. it kinda looks cloudy when it enters the serynge. i generally pull 0.5ml of npp and 0.5ml of test, then 0.5ml of primo and i notice the primo oil has some kind of cloudiness when pulling idk how to explain it. when i pull primo alone it does not appear cloudy in the serynge. shouldnt i mix npp + test + primo in the same serynge? some kind of oil incompatiiblity?
Hi Unimog!
You’re overthinking it a bit, but it’s a good question and it comes up more often than people admit.
First thing, yes, you can mix NPP, test and primo in the same syringe without any issue. There’s no oil incompatibility there. It’s a very common combo and perfectly fine to inject together.
About the cloudiness, in oil solutions there are basically two realistic reasons why you see that effect.
The first one would be contamination, but from what you’re describing, and especially since it only happens when you mix and not when you pull primo alone, this is very unlikely. If your hygiene is solid and the vial looks clear, that’s not the problem.
The second reason is much more common and usually the real explanation. It’s related to pressure and air inside the vial. When you draw oil, you need to inject the same amount of air into the vial as the amount of oil you’re pulling out. If you don’t, you create negative pressure inside the vial. That makes the oil come out in a weird way, with tiny air bubbles suspended in it, and it can look cloudy in the syringe.
When you’re mixing compounds, this effect becomes more noticeable because you’re drawing from multiple vials in sequence, sometimes without fully balancing pressure each time. Those microbubbles make the oil look cloudy, but once it sits for a bit, you’ll usually see it clear up as the bubbles rise.
A simple fix is this: before pulling each compound, push in the same amount of air you plan to draw. Take it slow when pulling the oil, don’t rush it, and after you’re done, let the syringe sit upright for a minute. You’ll see most of that “cloudiness” disappear on its own.
So short answer: you’re fine. Mixing those three is not a problem, and what you’re seeing is almost certainly just air and pressure, not bad oil.
